Allswater Awarded Design of Modular Reclaim Water Pump Barge

Posted Aug 9, 2010

In conjunction with our project partners, Aecon Industrial of Nova Scotia and Rally Engineering of Alberta, Allswater has been awarded the design and engineering contract to provide all marine, naval architectural and mooring deliverables for the design-build of a 500-ton reclaim water pump barge for the Alberta-based EPCM company, Amec Americas. The proposed Kearl Oil Sands barge, requisitioned by Imperial Oil Resources Venture Limited, will have a peak, fluid-transfer capacity of 13,200 m3/hour. The barge will feature a modular design of the hull, decking and mooring systems, enabling it to be transported from the fabrication yard in Nova Scotia, to the assembly yards and launch site in Alberta.
