Posted Nov 30, 2013

The vessel “Capecante” was refloated after lengthening at Astander Shipyard in Spain. Allswater was contracted to develop the concept and detail design drawings for the lengthening and conversion as well as to assist in Project Management and shipyard selection.

The work includes addition of a 9.5m midbody section, a stern hull module, additional deck and superstructure modules, as well as upgrades to the electrical systems, monitoring and control systems, generators and factory. The trawler was built in 2002 at the Astilleros Armon Shipyard in Navia, Spain.

The project is scheduled for completion in early summer 2014.
